The work of the Machon is rooted in careful manuscript research, historical responsibility, and restrained scholarly publication. Contributions enable the continuation of this work for the benefit of present and future generations.

Why Contribute

​

The writings of Rabbi Chaim Vital form the textual foundation of Lurianic Kabbalah and have shaped centuries of Torah learning, halachic thought, and tefillah. Yet many of these texts survive only in fragile, scattered, or poorly transmitted manuscript form.

​

Supporting the Machon allows for:

• Preservation and documentation of primary manuscripts

• Careful comparison and evaluation of textual witnesses

• Responsible preparation of manuscript-based editions

• Publication free of conjecture, embellishment, or ideological revision

• Long-term safeguarding of irreplaceable Torah sources

​

Dedications may be made in memory of or in honor of loved ones. All dedication wording is subject to institutional review to ensure propriety, accuracy, and consistency with the Machon’s mission.

Tax-Exempt Status:

Machon R. Chaim Vital operates as a Doing Business As (DBA) of Baal Shem Tov House Inc., a nonprofit organization recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Contributions are deductible for federal income tax purposes to the extent permitted by law. Donors are encouraged to consult their own tax advisors.
